Day 1 Phnom Penh to Kampong Cham
Riding to Kampong Cham from Phnom Penh is the best way to begin a tour in Cambodia. There’s great roads through villages, agriculture and local industry and by late afternoon you will find yourself having a drink by the Mekong River.
- 160 km/100 mi (5hrs)
- 2 x Mekong River ferry crossings
- Wat Maha Leap temple
- 3 star hotel

- 130 km/80 mi (4 hrs)
- Late afternoon Mekong River dolphin encounter tour
Day 3 Kratie to Sen Monorom
Sen Monorom is really just a village, even though it’s the provincial capital of Mondulkiri.
It’s a beautiful place and home to the minority Bunong people who have an extraordinary affinity with elephants.
The last 50 km’s into town is just fabulous for riders; hills, bends and beautiful scenery.
The province borders Vietnam and due to the cooler climate coffee is grown here.
- 205 km/128 mi (6 1/2 hrs)
Day 4 Sen Monorom to Ban Lung
The capital of Ratanakiri is Ban Lung. The province borders both Laos and Vietnam and is famous for it’s gems and wildlife.
Ratanakiri is home to many endangered and rare species such as gibbons, clouded leopards, elephants and sun bears.
Just on the outskirts of Ban Lung is the beautiful 4000 year old Boeung Yeak Lom (volcanic crater lake). It’s circular in shape, extremely deep with crystal clear emerald water and is a popular picnic and swimming spot.

- 195 km/121 mi (5 hrs)
- Late afternoon Mekong River boat trip
Day 6 Preah Rumkel to Krong Preh Vihear
Krong Preah Vihear is a sleepy town. We stay at a guesthouse with a difference, because it’s run by our favourite Cambodian family. Mum and her two daughters spoil us rotten every time we go there. It’s not the fanciest guesthouse but it is the most welcoming and genuine in the whole of Cambodia.
- 170 km/106 mi (5 hrs)
- Visit to the Mekong Rapids
Day 7 Krong Preah Vihear to Siem Reap
Siem Reap is now the third largest city in Cambodia, it was once a small village but due to the sheer number of tourists it’s expanding at a rapid rate. There is so much nightlife, restaurants and bars you won’t know what to do with yourself after being in the countryside. It’s a popular place because it’s the home of one of the most famous attractions in the world, Angkor Wat.

Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples, Ta Prohm and Bayon are astonishing. It’s an awesome day with a local and knowledgeable guide wandering through this amazing archaeological site.

Day 9 Siem Reap to Kampong Thom
Kampong Thom is home to the 6th centure Sambor Prei Kuk temple which translates to mean the “temple in the richness of the forest” and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2017. The region is also famous for being heavily bombed by the US in the 1970’s and on a more positive note, for growing delicious cashew nuts.

Clients should ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting or excluding protection for the type of activities included in their tour. Clients should satisfy themselves that all travel insurance purchased meets their particular requirements and should arrange supplementary insurance if need be.

It is in recognition of the above that we recommend your travel insurance policy offers some monetary compensation for flight delays over 12 hours to cover lost tour time or delayed return.
7. It may be necessary due to certain circumstances (“force majeure”) that the Company will need to make changes to tour itineraries and or cancel tours. “Force majeure” means any event which the Company could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. You will also be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us and all costs incurred by us (including our own and the other party’s full legal costs) as a result of your actions.
